One of the hardest things about meal planning is deciding where to start to search for recipes. To help, I have created a list of meal plan idea starters for planning weeknight dinners. I find it much easier to search for recipes when I have an idea to spark from.
There is a search function on the Bon App recipe page so that you can also search the Bon App recipes for your own meal plans or if you fancy recooking one of my recipes. You can search by ingredient, recipe type or by recipe name.
If there is something on this week’s meal plan that you don’t fancy cooking, you can easily swap it for one from the recipes from the recipe archive.
Monday: Watermelon & radish salad with cream cheese croutons
With the heatwave throughout Europe at the moment, I wanted to start the week with this incredibly refreshing, juicy and colourful watermelon and radish salad. Discover the combination of watermelon and coriander: an explosion of freshness and flavours! I wasn’t sure that these flavours would work together but it totally does!
Tuesday: Thai trout fillet with okra
Have you ever tried okra? Or have you tried it and not liked it because of its slimy texture? The Thai trout fillet with okra recipe uses a cooking method that prevents the okra from becoming slimy and combines them with incredible Thai flavours. So make the most of these incredibly healthy little pods, low in calorie, high in fibre and packed with vitamins C, B6, A and K as well as various minerals.
Wednesday: Cajun turkey wraps with summer vegetables
This recipe is a simple way to make your own wraps with fresh ingredients that maximises wonderful flavours for a super yummy summer evening.
Thursday: Grilled vegetable pasta salad
You can chargrill the vegetables on the BBQ or simply cook them in the oven for this grilled vegetable pasta salad recipe which uses the vegetables that are in season this month.
Friday: Texan beef with corn on the cob
This whole recipe can be cooked on the BBQ if desired. For an authentic Texan BBQ, the beef should be slowly cooked over a wood! But I would recommend using your normal BBQ and a meat thermometer so that you can cook the beef to your liking.
